The beauty is in the simplicity.
Sometimes the simplest things make the most interesting toys.
A ring can be grasped, rolled, spun or posted. A bowl can be banged, filled, emptied and stacked. A scarf can disappear, reappear, float and become something entirely new.
No buttons to press. No single “right” way to play. Just simple, interesting objects that leave room for something much more important — your child's own curiosity.
Touch and discover
Different textures, shapes and reflections invite sensory discovery. As little hands grasp, hold and explore, they're developing fine motor skills, coordination and early brain connections.
Move and explore
Shake, roll, bang and repeat! Simple movements help little ones discover cause and effect while building coordination, problem-solving skills and confidence through hands-on exploration.
Fill, hide & find
Stacking, nesting, filling and emptying encourage spatial awareness, problem-solving and early thinking skills. As your little one grows, these simple objects offer new ways to explore and play.

Hi, I'm Angela
I'm a Mum, registered Early Childhood Teacher, and the founder of ProjectPlay.
I've spent years watching babies and young children learn through play, and one thing has always stood out: they don't need us to make play complicated.
I created these sets to bring together the kinds of simple, beautiful objects I know children find fascinating, and to help parents feel confident giving them the space to explore.
Happy Playing xx

Good to know
Wondering what's inside, how to get started or whether the Treasure Basket is right for your little one? We've answered the most common questions below, so you can feel confident about bringing meaningful play into your home.
Will my baby know what to do with it?
You might be surprised by what catches your baby's attention!
Some babies love banging and shaking, while others are fascinated by textures, movement or simply examining an object.
There's no right or wrong way to explore. Start with a few pieces, give your little one time and let their curiosity lead the way.
Is the Treasure Basket a good gift?
Absolutely! The Treasure Basket makes a thoughtful gift for a new baby, baby shower or first birthday.
With 12 fascinating sensory play objects, a beautiful basket and our free Play Made Simple guide, it's a gift that offers so much more than another toy.

How do I introduce the Treasure Basket?
Keep it simple! Start by just placing your little one beside the basket somewhere they can comfortably reach them.
Let your little one take the lead. They might grasp, shake, bang, or simply study an object for a while. It's all part of exploring and learning!
You don't need to demonstrate every object or show them the “right” way to play. Stay close, follow their curiosity and enjoy watching what they discover.
Tip: Try swapping a few objects around occasionally to keep things interesting.
Always supervise your little one during play.
How do I clean the pieces?
Little hands can get messy, so keeping your treasures clean is important.
For wooden and metal objects, gently wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Avoid soaking or putting them in the dishwasher.
Fabric pieces may need different care depending on the material. Spot clean gently where appropriate and allow them to dry completely before using again.
Always check your play objects regularly for signs of wear or damage, and stop using any that become damaged.
Are the pieces safe?
Your little one's safety is incredibly important to us.
Every object in the Treasure Basket has been thoughtfully selected with little hands, curious minds and sensory exploration in mind.
Because little ones explore with their hands and mouths, adult supervision is essential throughout play. Always check each piece for signs of wear or damage before use. Our pieces are not designed to be teething toys.
We recommend adult supervision at all times.
